[b]I just wanted to pop online again after being offline for so long. I have been gone so long and have thought about each and every one of you. As you all know, my computer was stolen and I had to wait to get one. We also took some time getting set up in the new apartment with onlines services. A lot has been going on here, as Ann shared with some of you. We left off with Ann coming to CA to help us move to another part of town. We moved. Ann came to help out. I am so glad that we got to meet and get to know each other. She came to CA twice. I had been hospitalized while she was here. After an emotional hello to my sister, she got right into putting together all of our new furniture. She stayed up until 3 or 4 in the morning. We got along fantastically with each other. When it was time for her to go home, Dennis and I didn't want her to leave. She came back a few months later to help again. I had to go in the hospital when she came on her first visit. Not even thinking about her own pain, she stayed in the emergency room with me until I was given a room in the hospital. It was a wonderful, memorable trip for all.

In July, I had surgery to take off all of the excess skin from my weight loss. Ann offered to come out and help Dennis take care of me, but that was not necessary. I was up and around in a few days. Three months have passed, and I feel that the surgery was well worth it. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a flat abdomen because of my positioning problems and not being able to lay flat on my back.

About a month ago, we got fantastic news. My 26 year old workman's compensation suit finally settled. I cannot believe that it really happened. With the settlement, I got an annuity with monthly payments and a small lump sum to help us relocate. We decided that we wanted to live in Nevada because of the weather (dry heat, no humidity). About a week ago, after an extensive internet search with various builders in Nevada, we were called about a great deal with a home that is just in dryall stage. At this stage, they can customize the home for accessibility. We signed the papers and will hopefully close escrow in about 2 months. If you are interested in seeing some of the pictures, please let me know and I will give you our website address. I also got a new computer from the settlement. We are still not linked up with a network so that we can use both computers at the same time. Since we are going to be moving again, we will continue to hold off on networking until we move in. I will continue to check my messages and would love to hear from you.

I had to change my email address because I was inundated with spam mail. If you would like to hook up with me again, I would love to get back in touch.

Hugs and Prayers

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I sent a message back to you with the new email address and the web address for the pictures. I can hardly believe that this happened. I would like everyone who has a work comp claim to not give up. Most of the time the sufferer wins. Our lives have been on hold for 26 years and it feels so good to have settled and no longer have to deal with those insurance companies.

Thank you again Debbie for that wonderful welcome back.

Smile
