Hi!

I am so glad to find this forum, I have been trying to get questions and having a hard time with Dr's answering them.

I have a 14 month old with two neck lymph glands that are swollen, no previous illness. he had some ebv blood work and the titres are vca igg neg, vca igm neg, and EBNA pos. Noone seems to be able to answer why only the ebna is pos and not any of the vca. I know it siad it displays an usual antibody profile but the Dr told me he does not know why. I had them repeated and they are reluctant to give me the results. The oncologist looked at him and said he does not have cancer or lymphoma but if the ebna is the only one positive what does that mean? they said he could have been exposed and had past infec but if so vca would be pos as well, right?

hmmmm I do not know the answer to this one but hopefully someone here can help, but I think I would have him tested again in a month as wonder if the virus is just starting to show up.
