The most common symptom of cholecystitis is pain in your upper right abdomen. This pain can sometimes move around to your back or right shoulder blade.

Other symptoms include:

* Nausea or vomiting.

* Tenderness in the right abdomen.

* Fever.

* Pain that increases during a deep breath.

* Pain that lasts more than 6 hours, easpecially after meals.

Older people may not have fever or pain. Their only symptom may be a tender area in the abdomen.

The only real sign I had cholecyctitis was daily vomiting for six months. I had no pain or tenderness which probably postponed my diagnosis for so long. I was exhausted physically however, probably due to not getting enough nutrients. I feel fortunate I didn't have to deal with the pain involved however, one episode would have been great over six months of vomiting. Just a thought Take careT.
