cp is a disability caused by brain damage before, during or shortly after bith in the part of your brain that controls your voluntary mucles(arms ,legs, ) you can't die directly from cp and it doesn't get worse but there is more wear and tear and pressure from tight muscles an ligament in spastic cerebral palsy (tight muscle) athetoids low writhing involuntary movements ataxic effects movement and coordination ,mixed cerebral palsy is two different types diplegia effects top half or lower half of body and then hemiplegia effects right or left side of body I have mild spastic hemiplegic cerebral palsy (tight muscles on my right side only)

to learn more :

http://www.cerebralpalsysource.com/Types_of_CP/index.html

I used that as help with spelling and what each type is I know spastic symtoms the thing is with cp you can be confined to a wheel chair unable to eat or speak or you can be able to walk ,run, talk, its barely noticeable mine is barely noticeable it affects my hand I can use it but when it curled up in a fist with my thumb under my fingers its the most comfortable more relaxed in a way

I used drugs because of social anxiety and it gave me the courage to be a big flirt and to socialize. When I had to stop drinking and druging I sat in my bed for 4 years and went through alot of therapy to get out of bed. That must be funny seeing you stomp and yell out of the room hahahahah just kidding, I know what you mean, just wanted to add in a joke, not to good at it. But don't take things so seriously because how you see yourself, the others never look at you the same way. I look back now and talk to old friends and all the insecrities I felt they felt too. There was this guy that I had this huge crush on (don't tell markm) and I felt so shy by him and now I talked to him several months ago and he felt the same way by me. See we could of hooked up, but we were both too shy. So believe in yourself and try to have more self esteem in who you are. What are you majoring in.

Hey, this is kind of delayed but i just joined the group a few months ago and have been skimming the information slowly. Well I will tell you a little about my expereince. Most of my disctimination issues took place burring my high school years and junior high but most of it was from the end of junior high into high school.

Most people or at least i felt that most people anly really liked me for the big books i used and the full tiem ed tech i had to help with not taking and with some assignments. It used to be so frustrating because they never really took tiem to get to know who i was just what was different about me. i did have a few great friends though and still keep in touch with them today. i really just wish that people would look past teh differences and see what is on the inside a caring loving normal in my eyes any way person any way if i can be of any further assistance feel free to post or PM which ever is easier
