Hi,

It can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months to feel better. If you are having worse pains then try taking diary out for awhile until your gut has a chance to heal. Also be careful about cross-contamination. When you gut starts to heal the swelling goes down and the villi begin to poke up higher. Then when you get a bit of gluten again the villi are able to suck it up more and suddenly you feel worse than ever. When you go gluten free you have to go completely GF including cross-contamination. I know its frustrating but check every label and watch for hidden glutens such as HVP and HPP, malt, just 'starch', etc. Wash out the utensil drawers and cupboards, change your condiments in the fridge because they are likely contaminated from before, get your own toaster...that kind of thing. Label your stuff in the fridge so no one else uses it or make everyone aware of how to not contaminate everything.

If this doesn't help then you may be having a reaction to something else. Hope you figure it out.

Sheri
