I've been gluten free for over a month and have had virtually no incidents of pain or diarrhea since I was diagnosed with Celiac's. Tonight I bought my regular pasta from an organic company which is usually gluten free, I have been eating it for weeks, but it turns out they have the EXACT packaging for their regular and gluten free pasta and only in small print on the back is it written that it has wheat. Well, I ate two bowls of whole wheat pasta tonight. I spent hours throwing up, nauseous, in severe pain and with explosive diarrhea. I am finally coming around now, probably because there is nothing left in my system. I can't believe how sick I got. I was always this sick, every time I ate, for years before I found out I had Celiac's, but tonight was worse than ever. Is the fact that I have been gluten free for a while the reason why I had such an intense reaction to accidentally eating wheat tonight? I started shaking as well, uncontrollably shaking, I got cold all over my body and I was sweating. It was literally like food poisoning which would make sense since gluten is toxic for my digestive system.

So sorry to hear you got glutened. Yes, the longer your don't ingest gluten, the worst the reaction will be when you do eat it. Hope you're feeling better this morning.

That is terrible Romanian!!! They really should mark the packaging better. Oh I hope you start feeling better soon. The effects can linger so long sometimes.
