My guess is that everyone has seen the braces that are supposed to stretch the ligament and release the nerve without surgery. Has anyone tried this? What was your experience? Did it help enough to at least postpone surgery?

First of all, welcome to the group. Yes I tried the braces but found no relief. I had CT in both wrist and worked in a dental lab. My wife had the surgery and it worked well for her. Because her seurgery went so well she talked me into it. At work I had short term disability and fairly good insurance so I had both hands done at the same time to shorten the time off work. After the recovery it was like I had new hands. Workers comp or not you should seriously consider the surgery. As I understand it workers comp is a usually a big fight and after your claim you are a marked man. If you apply for a position with another company they will find out that you filed and it could hurt your chances for hire. Best wishes. RKS
