 I am glad that roy wrote to me; I was feeling kind of lost when I noted that, at first, carcinoid was not listed under the cancer groups. I liked what enraged had to say. I feel the same way about my doctor. i just think that even when doctors say they specialize, they are not very familiar with this type of cancer. My doctor believes in old positions about carcinoid; that it is not very life threatening and that someone can live with it to a very old age. As a result, he just "watches" while I try to live with it. True, it is not like the fast moving cancers, nonetheless, it is cancer and if it is active, it is spreading. I want to know more, but when I ask questions, my doctor just walks out of the room. I don't want to change doctors at this time, but will I have to? I am still wondering. Claire: |
