Hey there. I'm 20 and I just moved to a super small town and im having a hard time making friends which makes the problem worse. I sit at home alot and eat ice cream and cereal. I hide the evidence and buy new ones before my boyfriend gets home. Im taking fluxeotene which is supposed to help, but so far it just makes me a little dizzy. im hoping to find other people who are trying to get beter in a positive way. ive tried support groups before but it always seemed as though the members were helping eachother perpetuate the disease, rather than rid themselves of it. I'm not fat, but i would like to lose a few pounds. i also realize that the disorder will probably cause me to gain weight before i lose it. hope this all works out! thanks Smile

Hi there! It may not be in person but I am sure you will make friends here. I too would sit at home eating sweets, or hiding my amounts. Tough to hide and keep a secret all this time. I have taken every medicine know to man(not literally but close) including yours. If I was dizzy withh it I usually tried a different one. It took me several tries to find the right one but not long after I started it things turned around and I now have a year of recovery. It's fine to lose a few pounds but dont limit yourself from the foods you love, just practice moderation on "those" foods. Fill up on water, lettuce and other healthy filling foods in between or right before to help fill you quicker. Enjoy the group and message me if you need anything. By the way I discourage promote unhealthy behaviors but we don't judge slips hard times. We are a family.

Welcome! This is a great support group so you came to the right place. Talk to you doc about the meds. I went through quite a few before I found the right one. The one your taking, is that Prozac? Let me know if I can help in anyway!
