i purge today again, once.. but it is enough for me to feel angry and mad at myself, i dont get why i am doing it, i dont, i really dont, trying to understand , how to help myself guys... i need u all..

I made up some worksheets for a site I'm working on, I tried to upload them here but they were over the size limit. a lot of people "purge" because they hate themselves. do you purge because you hate yourself, or hate yourself because you purge? why do you purge? out of habbit, because you have bad self image, what...?

i guess i have just low self esteem, dont know how to learn to love myself more....

There are so many things you have to offer pidbyl, I just wish you could see them. Try posting positive sticky notes all over the place so you have to read them everyday. Maybe that will help a little. I know I had to do that because I couldn't think of anything nice to say to myself so I had to you someone else's quotes. Hang in there!!

do u believe that in recovery there should be a moment that will push u to quit it forever, i dont know i think sometimes that there should be a moment or some event in my life when will say stop. what do u think all about it?

Glad you liked the tip and I hope they help! I do believe there is a time when you just say ok I'm done! After all of my therapy and several years out on my own I decided I was ready to live without any ed and start a real life so I just quit the little bit of purging I was doing (about once every month or two). I started dating, met my husband, went out with friends to concerts, casinos, movies dinner, lunch, whatever came along and I loved it. It was like being reborn and I've never purged since. That was 10 years ago. I was just tired of letting food run my life! I really think it will happen for everyone who truly desires to recover. It's a lot of work to get to that point and it's still work telling myself no, you're not fat etc. but living takes over all the negatives so it only lasts a very short time. I don't know if that makes sense or not!!!
