The woman of my mothers generation all gave formula, barely tried the bf and my sister and me could not be healthier so I highly doubt there will be any reprocussions. They stated I should see an increase with the Reglan in 3 days and it has just been that, so we will see.

Please, please do not take what I wrote as being judgemental in any way shape or form.

I am a product of the 100% formula generation.

I could not produce enough for my twins (even given Reglan I couldn't produce enough for even one child's daily needs).

This time I was able to provide but I was on Fenugreek the whole time and I struggled through it.

I know what you are going through and are feeling.

Please accept my apologies if it sounded like I was judging you because I wasn't and didn't mean it to sound that way.

Not at all. I thank you for all you wrote. Im also very small, very thin, little body fat and small breasts, so it could also just be my physical makeup. Just one of those things. I was hoping the fenugreek would do more for me as well. Thank you so much fo rreading my posts and responding. It has been very helpful.

Tracie, the most important thing is that you're meeting your baby's needs AND your family's needs through nursing and supplementation. If all of your time and energy is going into increasing milk production, I can only imagine how stressful it must be for all of you! ANY amount of breastmilk will ultimately benefit your baby - whether he/she is exclusively breastfed or not - and ANY success is a triumph for you and your baby. {{{HUGS}}}

Don't get hung up on the "doing it right". Do it "well" for as long as you can and define your own success.

I am sorry for everything you are going through!

I agree with the previous posters in all of their advice. I would also like to add that eating a bowl or two of oatmeal a day, or a couple oatmeal cookies, also helps boost supply.

I've got a Medela PIS and I've noticed that I just don't get as good a suction when I double pump. Maybe it would help if (time permitting) you could pump one breast at a time.

Whatever you do, don't stress over it. Just relax, keep doing what you are doing, and let nature take it's course.
