MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." Today I learned that I have mets to my liver, actually a one inch lesion on the "outside" of the liver. Have been treating for Stage IV BC with mets to the bone since 2/20/08. I am devastated. For sure I thought I was going to be one of the "lucky ones" who survive for years and years, just treating the pesky hot spots in my bones. I guess I was lying to myself, but hoping for the best at least. To say I am sad, sad, sad is an understatement. I am 47 years old, married to my high school sweetheart since 1983 and we have three children, all adults. Is there anyone out there who can give me some hope for long term survival? My doctor is fantastic, tells me this is NOT the "beginning of the end" but everything I see out there (I know I shouldn't look at statistics) seems pretty grim. Ladies (or gentlemen) can you give me some info to make me smile? It would be most appreciated.
