Hi to all in the forum. I had a tetanus shot in October '10 that caused brachial neuritis in my left shoulder/arm. I can still use it, so that's good, but deal with pain on a daily if not hourly basis.

Been taking Tramadol because I still have to be able to function and it takes off some of the edge while still allowing me to do what I need to do. Also Diclofenac (sp?) for inflammation.

My General Practitioner recently tested me and found that my cholesterol was pretty high and wanted to start me on cholesterol meds, but said we had to get my pain under control first. He made it sound like the cholesterol meds would increase my pain???

I was using Neurontin (combined with Tramadol) but it made me too sleepy and didn't do anything for the pain. Diclofenac also has done diddly-squat (i.e. nothing). My doc switched me to Lyrica in combination with Tramadol and I started to get more and more depressed and emotional, ending with suicidal thoughts last night and today.

I feel somewhat better now, but curious if anyone else has taken Lyrica or similar for this kind of nerve pain.
