i think my meds have stopped working or they aren't lasting as long. for like the past week or two i start getting weird around 4 or 5 o'clock and i don't take my geodon until 7. i'm shaky and hot all the time and i can't concentrate to save my life. all i want to do is go scream at someone, or throw something or idk but i can't and it's taking everything in me not to do it. does this make any sense? i think i'm going crazy

If you were older, I'd ask if you were going through meno. Laughing If I remember correctly, you're quite young so we'll just skip that theory.

I don't know a lot about medicines, so my only suggestion is that you let your Dr. know that at your next visit. If your appointment isn't coming up soon, I'd give him a call. Keep in mind that your pharmacist can answer your questions, too.

It nearly sounds like it would work better for you if you could take smaller doses, but take them more frequently. (three times a day) Is that possible with geodon?

Sorry to edit, but I just had another thought. Would you be okay if you took your morning pill a couple hours later in the day so it would help you make it until the evening?

A couple people here take it so hopefully they'll have some good information to share. I think that is what April takes.

It could just be side effects, you should talk to your pdoc. I just had to get off Wellbutrin because it was making me hot and sweat all of the time. She switched it,but the new med also has that possible side effect so I dont know if it will help. All we can do is keep trying until we find meds that continue to work.

i'm on wellburtin(sp) during the day. i was told the geodon would last 24 hours and it's supposed to help me sleep but that's not working either. i had a really horrible 5 or 6 hours and i took my zoloft early and i think i'm better now. at least until tomorrow. i have an appointment friday with my counselor and my psychiatrist person is in the same office so i'll ask then if i can get an earlier appointment.

i'm sorry i keep complaining about my meds.

It's fine, it's what we are here for. You may just need to change it up or tweak some doses a bit. I'm actually glad you mentioned being hot all the time in the post you made about the Geodon and Wellbutrin. I had been getting really hot and sweating over the past year and had no clue why, and it was the Wellbutrin. It had gotten worse over the past few months and I was really confused until I realized my pdoc had switched me from 100mg tablets to 150mg tablets and I didnt know so I was still taking 3 instead of 2 like I was supposed to. Yesterday she laughed when I told her I was sick of sweating like an atheist hooker in a church.

I just hope the new one doesnt give me the same side effect. I'm generally sensitive to side effects so theres a good chance it may. Plus other than being hot I was doing well on the Wellbutrin, I really hope I didnt mess it up.
