Sad feeling kind of down today. Just cant seem to shake it, OH well there is always tomorrow....may you all be filled with joy and happiness.....lets chat soon . Ihave not been officially diagnosed as a BPD but rather a Bipolar 1. I find a thin line that divides the two...One major difference I have is that I dont try and hurt myself. I have been seeing my phsyc doc, for years and on group for about 5 years now and quite honesly most things seem to remain the same.

hope you are having better luck with your treatment.....Meds seem to be a joke, try this one, oh no how about these etc.

peace

max

Glad to see you here. Even though you may not have BPD you still may learn a lot about yourself with your own diagnosis and vice versa. So, I'm glad to see ya here.

thanks so much. Yes, I am looking for support my physc doc, and group just isnt getting the job done. The fairly constant changing of meds further complements the situation so I am looking for someone that understands. Even though I may sound like a basket case I really am not and I have a lot of experience with this illness as over a year of bipolar group theraphy.

thank you and I look forward to my nightmare, I hate to say it but life sucks a lot of times and I wonder why the man keeps me on this earth.

thanks again for being a kind and caring soul

max

i think we all feel like "basket cases" at one point or another, but here you can see that there are alot of people feeling the same way as you, and, if nothing else youll see you are not alone

have a good night

thank you so much for the kind words. sleeping isnt usually a problem. sanax seems to relax me enough to have a good nights sleep........I would be very curious how one copes in the work place? does your meds which appear to be very close to bipolar give you enough stability to get thru the day?

thanks for your feedvack

Max-

I don't know about anyone else but when I was on medication, it was hard to get through the work day simply because they would drag me down. They stabilized me moods well enough and all and were a great help in my day-to-day life but work was pretty rough for the most part. I think it all depends on what medication you're on though, too.

How did you get into group therapy? I've called the state health department here and they don't have group sessions for bipolar or borderline...just depression. I can't exactly see me going into a depression therapy session when I'm having a manic day...they might not get it Smile

I was in a bi polar group theraphy at the UTHSC in san antonio but due to attendance it fell thru. I am still in group theraphy but it just isnt focused at bipolar but more of a general. The group isnt very well advertised but if you are interested let me know as they are always in search of additional folks. To the best of my knowledge they have 4 seperate groups that meet at the UTHSC on Tues, Wed or Thurs. I meet on the Wed night session. they meet frpm 6pm until 730pm and the sessions are hosted by 2 residents. sometimes one is an MD and the other a PhD, There is a small charge of $15 per visit.

Even though it isnt specifically focused at bipolar I find the opportunit a great chance to vent and talk about all kinds of issues. I tend t have tgrouble with angry, anxiety, being sad and very dissappointed about things in general but there is no sacred topic.

One final comment about your mentioning work. It is somewhat funny that you should mention it as I was just recalling my bout with returning to work after having spenct 30 days in Villa Rosa. It was super hard to face your coworkers and knowing they knew where you had been and overcoming the shane and embaarrassment of such a trama eveent in ones life.

please forgive my typo and spelling as I just type and dont prof my typing. I am on the following meds"

Lithium

Prozac

Xanax

and tried a dozen more...

You will find me to be an honest person with integrity and dont bullshit one and anything you say is safe wiht me.

Let me know about the group and I will check for you on Wed, sooner if you feel an urgent need......

big hugs .....max
