MDJunction to me

fluffyluggage"I found MDJunction at a time when I was struggling with so much. I
was so sick. I found a home, a place where people understood me, when
even my family doubted me. In MDJ, I found a place of refuge, love,
and support. I come here daily, to find my balance, to cope, and to
find that same support I've found from day 1. MDJ is my new family.
The friends I've made here will remain with me for a lifetime.

Hi everyone:

I just joined this site a few days ago. I am reaching out at the moment online because I am looking for a community that is filled with people that can understand my experiences as one with BPD. Unfortunately, I don't live in a city where there is a lot of specific support, so here I am.

I was diagnosed in 2008; and am currently 27. And since then I've been on a pretty steady journey trying to understand and seek treatment. I've attend STEPPS, group sessions, and currently have a therapist (my 3rd one in the past 4 years due to various reasons). I'd be lying if I said my journey hasn't felt beyond difficult; even now, I worry that I'm growing or getting better.

I just wanted to say hello and share my story. Hopefully this site will be as helpful to me as it seems to be for so many others.

I agree that it's a difficult journey, but it's very commendable that you are continuing to take the steps toward an improved quality of life. The people here are great and understanding.

I'm not a doctor or a therapist, I'm just someone who is working on my issues just like everyone else. I can, however, offer support, understanding, and opinion from personal experience.

Welcome, I'm new here too. I'm hoping to learn from everybody too, as I've been . . . resistant to the diagnosis, not wanting anything to do with it. But denial doesn't make it not so, lol, so I'm here.
