MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hi I'm Nevaeh, well that's my screen name anyway. I was diagnosed with borderline originally when I was 12.I'm 29 years old now and life is a daily struggle to get through without self-harm. Ever since Mother's Day I've been struggling so much daily that it's getting to the point where suicide seems like the only way out of this pain. When a close friend told me about this website I figured I'd check it out and hopefully this will be a new coping skill and a support systm that will help me continue to get through each day until things get easier again.I will continue even then but hopefully this eill help things get easier quicker. I've been able to stay out of the hospital longer recently then I have in the last 2-3 years and I long for a life free from hospitalization after hospitalization. But it seems every time I start doing goo depression is right there again

Hi and welcome Smile This site has helped me immensely, and I hope it does the same for you
It's that sinking feeling of being alone, and it's the way it makes you screech and pulls the skin off your bones, and I can't help but think, as I pick my mouth off the floor; Will you still know me in a year?

<rolls out the red carpet> Welcome to the group Neveah! This is a good step in building a support system. I am sorry you are feeling so low. Please remember that it gets better. Do you have any coping techniques to use instead of self harm? Let me know.. I may have some ideas for ya! Smiles

Hi and welcome! About 6-7 years ago, I was where you are, in and out of the hospital. It can get better, and I have confidence that it will for you. Coming to this board is a great positive step that you're taking to care for yourself. Are you also in therapy? Do you find it helpful?

And to follow up on April's question about coping techniques to use instead of self injury, you might want to take a look at This Thread for some suggestions.

Keep in mind that I'm not a medical professional, and my advice is based on personal experience.

Hi Neveah, this is a great place to come when you need to get something off your chest. A lot of us have struggled and know what it is to try to maintain normalcy when the world is upside down. If you need advice or just an ear to listen, we are here. Welcome.
