This is for anybody who suffers from severe mood swings

It is like bi-polar, only instead of days, they come hourly. It makes forming relationships extrmely difficult. There is a book called: Lost in the Mirror by Richard Moskovitz that might be helpful, it was to me.

I don't know one BPD that doesn't have mood swing issues. I hate it too. I can go one minute all gitty and pleased with life and the next I'll be ready to rip a new one out of anyone who crosses my path. It sucks.

Hourly, it comes down to seconds for me. I will look for the book. Thanks...

Mood swings are only a part of the BPD diagnosis along while Bipolar is all about the nasty mood swings. Blah.

Blah is a good way to put it. I am the same way as most BPDs. I have the massive mood swings but I am generally depressed. Its like my default mood.

Still lovin' the hair, Cherrie!!!

Quick question, does anyone else feel confused by their diagnoses? I know I do. I'm bi-polar, bpd, adhd, ocd, and lord knows what else. But to me, it seems that i could be summed up as just being bpd. I never really felt like I had those other diseases, but I accept it "because that's what my doctor says". Anyone else wonder about it sometimes?

I was diagnosed with BP, ADD and a few others I can't remember and I always thought there was something off but I couldn't put my finger on it. It was only a few years ago that I learned it all came down to BPD.

I think you just have BPD. A lot of the symptoms in BPD are confused with the others disorders you've mentions. Personally, I think it's just BPD.

I was diagnosed with bp as well as bpd. I know I am both as I have had severe manic episode's, But the day's in between all relate to bpd.

I have a had a few manic episodes, but pretty much far and few between. But really what does it matter if you can't get your doctor to see the way you do. I know she's the one with the medical degree, but I am the one that has to live my everyday life, I am the one that sees my symptoms from day to day. I dunno.
