MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

I have been reading about this and found out today that my counselor has been traveling to bigger town to get training and suggested we us it today.

It will help with my issues and address my needs in therapy.

I'm excited and terrified...but he did tell me that the "mediation" as many call it...can't be done wrong

Also, there is no group to help with this process, we will have to do it in 1 hr sessions each week...no way to get contact outside time in office...

He said I needed to find support outside my family, which is unsafe w emotional issues...I have distant relationships at church...and have tried a few groups in the 12 step arena...but never felt accepted....

So I need to find something for extra support...may try a NAMI meeting in our area...but don't know if it will work out

I am excited about what this can do for me but terrified it will not work or I can't do it good enough...I'm the one who will b the first to fail....

Ideas, thoughts, appreciated...

Next week , he hopes to have a full game plan...I will be doing some "mediation" this week and researching in the net...he is not a techie

Hi and welcome to the group,

DBT is great and I am sure you will find a lot of great new ways to help handle the roller coaster of BPD.

It sounds like you have a great therapist, that can be half the battle.

Feel free to post or join in any time..

Light..

Hi, You are the second post I've read today here in which someone does not get "coaching" between dbt appts. Maybe that is how it's done when it is done individually. NAMI might be a great resource. I need to get mysef there as well.
