Hi everyone! Just felt the need to talk this morning. I have been battling bipolar disorder for 18 years and fibro for 7 yrs. These last months have really been challenging me with both. I've had fibro symptoms that are new to me and my depression has been very difficult to treat. I am coping with everything but working has become extremely difficult, even on a reduced schedule. My employer has made as many reasonable accomodations possible but I don't think I can do it anymore, at least not right now. Ultimatums there are forcing decisions that I was not prepared to make.

Anyway, this was not to be about my pain but my blessings. I have 3 wonderful children who are willing to put aside their schedules and their needs to help and support me. I can laugh and cry with them. I also have 2 dogs which are a gift on a daily basis. If you don't have pets you may not understand but they get me through the days that I want to give up. I can't help but smile when I'm greeted so many times a day with wagging tails, big smiles and kisses. They don't judge and they are always happy. I for you all that you have something or someone like this in your lives. If not, find them.

Thanks for listening.

Susan

i cant stay on here long, but wanted to welcome u, and say how i understand, i have cut back my hours at work as well, havent had to leave work tho. but right now i am going through a break up, of a relationship that was the past 7 yrs of my life. the symptoms come and go, i can feel depression creeping in, and the idea of being alone....totally sux.

i got myself some peppermint essential oils today, and its helping tremendously in my neck tension. and i smell of a candy cane!

Thanks Megan. I'm sorry you're having to go through the break-up. More stress you don't need. We all have gone through sad circumstances that we have to fight. Having FM means we have to battle it and sometimes can't greave like we should. Being bipolar just creates an extra stress we have to cope with. Remember the sadness gets easier to handle and you will be okay soon.Smile
