With my Lamictal up to 100mg, I've been feeling great for the past two weeks at least. I know that some horrible things have happened to me over the past week, but I can't let that get the best of me. What's done is done, speaking on the robbery. And with my great aunt passing Sunday night, which was 4 days after being robbed, I will always keep her in my heart. I'm just trying to stay strong and not let this bring me down. I am afraid that the people that broke into my house, are people that I know because they knew everything I had in my house, knew my schedule, and everything. There have only been 3 people in my house other than family. Two of them are supposed to be "friends", but the niece of one of them came over too and I had never met her and she has previous theft charges. They searched her trailer that she shares with her mom and didn't find anything of ours. But since she doesn't have a job, her mom would think it was strange if she cam home with a bunch of new stuff. I just want justice. Nobody was hurt and that's great, but two VERY special things were taken, one being my deceased daddy's polo jacket that he use to wear every day, that I usually wear all the time, and the other being Pam's mother's ring that her kids bought her this Christmas. It had her two sons names on it and her grandsons with each of their birthstones on it. It meant the world to her and it was beautiful. I just need support and words of encouragement. I have to let go and let God, but it's hard because I feel so violated....

I'm sorry things have been so tough for you lately. I once had a peeping tom (I lived on the first floor) and spent the next 8 months sitting on the floor away from sight! I'm easily spooked. It does sound like you are being strong, very strong. Have you thought any more about getting an alarm system? Just a thought, but maybe you should visit some of the pawn shops around, even look on eBay (especially for the jacket). As for the culprit, try to think of anyone you know with a drug problem -- it's the most common reason for theft.

You do sound STRONG! Keep at it! Take care of yourself,

I am glad you aren't letting things get the best of you. I know that is easier said than done. You have a great attitude. Hang in there you are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow I am so sorry you had to experience this. It stinks. I hope you get some results from the police and they find at least some of your things.

Thank you to all of your replies! I haven't been on because I went to my great aunt's funeral yesterday and I don't have a computer at home anymore....I've checked several pawn shops, especially for the jewelry that was Pam's and mine and for the two guns that didn't belong to me. The investigator and other officers have already searched one house, but didn't find anything. Said that she acted suspicious and that they think she has the stuff hidden. He said, "I'm not done with her yet." All I want is for justice to be served. What's done is done and God has not carried me this far to drop me now! I still want an alarm, but right now I'm depending on my 38 special for protection. The cops don't think they will come back again because they drive by all the time now checking on our house and they also said that a lot of attention has been brought to this case because they took so much stuff! Thanks again for everything. I appreciate the support more than you know!
