MDJunction to me

jenniferdiva"MDJunction has been just an amazing support for me. The people who are on mdj are so nice! Unlike the many other support sites that I have been on. I have made several friends on mdj who are so supportive and so educated about mental illness. Of course non of us are doctors, but we certainly offer each other hugs, opinions, and advice. I have learned a great deal from my friends on mdjunction. I am also encouraging other people who suffer from mental illness to come on to MDJ. It can be a life line." (jenniferdiva)

Yes and i have outbursts also for no apparent reason. Change is hard for me. I try and tell those around me when i'm yelling more i apologize, especially my kids. You may want to post explaining a bit more your situation if you want, i'm sure you will get more feedback.

Well...my gf's family is staying with us its been a month...they are just visiting...they don't know much about me in that sense...sometimes I just get super overwhelmed when things feel out of control and I withdraw then blow up. My gf gets upset because she says I judge myself before other people get a chance. I didn't feel I could be myself...where I don't make an effort to hide my feelings. I told them last night and they understood this was after my meltdown. I just feel caged sometimes and I feel out of control.

That's a long time to have a family stay with you. I would get overwhelmed also. Try to not judge yourself, like your gf says, give them a chance. I often put on a different front when I'm with people, that's normal, but it would be nice to just be myself and not hide the feelings going on in my head. I'm glad that they understood. I often feel out of control. You might need a medication adjustment. I would talk to your psychiatrist. Stay strong. Hugs
