Our home was nominated by someone (we were told the mayor of our city did it) to be a part of the annual Garden walk. Ten homes from the city are selected out of those nominated for the best yards, particularly the backyard. Approximately 200 people will be going through and touring our yard tomorrow between 10am and 4 pm.

Having said all that, I'm grateful that it's almost over; I don't need the added stress of having all these people scrutinizing my yard. No one in their right mind or who had ever been in our yard would have nominted us; my husband does not believe in weeding the garden, our lawn is dry and weed strewn. I personally think someone just wanted see what was in our backyard. We had a new privacy fence put in when we won the lottery last year, and the yard is no longer a place the public can see into.

Now that I'm done ranting, I'm also grateful to have the money to go get my manicure, pedicure, eyebrows waxed and also tip money for my girl.

I'm also very grateful for my meds, and wishing I hadn't thrown them all down the toilet last week. It will be a few weeks before I can get my Klonopin refilled.

Today I am grateful that my son will be playing drums this morning in church. He was the regular drummer before he left for college. Now he is a guest drummer. It's been a long time since we played together (I play guitar).

I'm grateful that the Garden Walk is over and that it went well. I can have some peace and quiet today. I'm also grateful that I was able to get my kitchen cleaned up in between guests.
