That's a lot of different medications. Some antidepressants you haven't tried are Cymbalta and Pristiq. I think they are a lot like Effexor though. You also haven't tried the new antidepressant that I am on called Viibryd. Those could be some options if you were to have to use them. I'm glad you are feeling stable. I know you have been having a lot of bumps in the road and I hope that this continues for you. Smile

Tranxene is just another benzo similar to Valium, had a tendency to make me a bit high and drowsy so we changed to Valium.

They are about the same in half life. For me they just worked a little different. Tranxene gave a little high, sometime a big high, tired, woozy. Valium I don't even feel like I've taken anything I just know my anxiety is under control.

Clorazepate

(Tranxene)

[36-200] hour half life

Diazepam

(Valium)

20-100 [36-200] half life

Oh thanks. I'll have to do some research on that one. I think it's time to change up from Xanax.

I think Tranxene is much better than Xanax, I stopped Xanax about 5 years ago. It didn't do much for my GAD, still had a lot of anxiety. Tranxene worked got for a couple years then I had to switch to Valium. So far the Valium seems to be doing the job, and the good part is I don't get groggy or light headed from it. I work full time and had some problems with the Tranxene when it came to work.
