I'm taking it and it is working great for me. I have nothing to base that on however, because it is my first drug treatment since I was just diagnosed a few months ago.

It is supposed to be refined Rispradril (sp?)

Anyhow, I am having very few side effects.

Hi, White and Hcbert, glad to have you here with us in the group, I don't know anything about the Invega, how does it seem to be working for you? I think that you are right about the refined bit, HC, I was just reading something in another post about it being a older drug that they had redone.. will see if I can find that post again for you. As long as it is working for you, I would not worry about it too much, I was just diagnosed in August of this year, and have been put on the Lamictal, and it is working wonders for me.

I worked as a RN, since 1993, I do not practice at present and my opinions are exactly that - opinions. Do not take any advice that I may offer as medical treatment. I will always defer treatments, etc to your MD, Pdoc, and/or pharmacist. What I share with you are my personal experiences, and basic knowledge that I learned as a nurse.
I have Diabetes, Bipolar Disorder with psychotic features and mixed, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, and Chronic Low Back Pain with bulging discs in back and neck, Asthma, Hypothyroidism, Arthritis in lumbar and sacral areas, lumbar disc displacement, Degeneration of lumbar intervertebral discs, Lumbosacral radiculitis, DJD

Pristiq
So how long does it take?
Depakote and Geodon

Yep, because I'm on it

It has less side effects than other anti-psycotics, due to a fancy release mechanism. It is a redone version of another, older drug (just wiki it).

However, it makes me really drowsy and apathetic, so I'm trying to get off it.
