Here one that i would like the rest of you to comment on, or you can share your own pet peeves if you would like.

I just did some web surfing on major depression. I visited two web sites and they both wanted me to take a survey after only a few seconds of being on the site.

My God, give me a chance to read something first.Angry

one of mine is when I do a google search for BPII and I get hits then click the link only to find out the article or information is on BP1 or just BP in general, some even go as far as linking to depression or other mental illness.

I would at least get the information I asked for not what I didn't.Blink

since we're on the topic of computers and the internet...mine is people who are insulting, rude, intolerant and just down right mean in the comments section under an article or post. people are horrible to each other.

I frequently go on to the Friends reunited site and join in some of the discussions there and believe me the level of intolerance is shocking. And name calling.....only yesterday I was called a Dumb Ass by one ghastly woman. That's one of my pet peeves. I have loads more but I have work in the morning. Lol. Smile)

Barely,

I hate those pop up surveys and ads also. However, I love the internet with its access to information, much more than the annoyances. I've found kind people here at MDJunction and lots of understanding. I am glad that it seems to be the one place to go where I can reveal myself completely and not feel vulnerable.

PS my worst pet peave is waiting, whether in lines at stores or on hold on the phone. My patience factor is just about zero for both. Oh, and overseas tech help. I swear I think I pop blood vessels in my head when I have to deal with them.

I hear ya hedap. Even in the good old US we have foreigners manning phones and I feel lucky if i can understand half of what they say. Just recently called the hospital about an ER visit bill and good lord, I felt like asking if there was someone there I could talk to that didn't have a heavy accent.

The problem with the popups is: can't they give you at least 2 to 3 minutes to look around before they ask you about your opinion of their web site? I mean really are we that much slower than other people?

Wharton, sorry to hear about the name calling. I think that it comes from insecurities, but maybe that is just my way of coping with those people.

Oh goodness. Where do I start? LOL. I can't stand people who blow their nose at the dinner table, pregnant women who smoke, close-minded people, people who stop to turn when there is no stop sign, people who speed up to get around you at a red light... I would continue, but my list goes on and on. Lol. Smile
