Hi there everyone.. i am new to your group.. i havn't been formaly diagnosed yet.. but i have been put on amilify.. i am 25 and live in kansas.. the first time i was treated for depression was when i was 12.. i wonder back then why my parents didn't relize something was just not right with me.. and i also wonder why they didn't seek further advice.. but anyway.. i have taken maybe 5 different antidepressants since then and nothing has ever worked.. i think i have been to the doctor atleast once a year since then with problems with depression.. the last time was a little over a month ago.. my family doctor who has treated me all of my life looked at me and said that i had a mood disorder and needed to see a professional.. i was devistated.. cried off and on for 2 days... when normally i don't cry ever.. but now i am coming to terms with it and this web cite is helping a lot.. its easy to talk to people with some of the same issues.. and its also easy to talk to someone who isn't sitting there looking at you... i don't know how everyone else feels but i feel that i can be open and honest with how i feel on here... what would we do without internet?????  |
