Did you know that my doctor said it was ok to take Viagra? She instructed me to take it 30 minutes before I have sex BUTTTTTTTT it takes away the surprises and always have to plan for it.

Plus it always leave me hot, flushed and my heart pounding for a couple of hours. Not worth it, besides, it only helped me get aroused but theres no bang or finale at the end.

Depends on what you take, my doctor only prescribed it when I was on certain meds.

NOW NOW GIRLS!!! Do ya clean the house, cook meals, have a job, watch the kids, do the laundry, worry about the bills??????????? Even half that stuff will take your mind right off sex. YOU'RE TIRED!!!!!! Get the right meds!! I take, Lexapro, Lamictal, and Seroquel, for my BPD & PTSD & OCD!!. They don't touch my libido and I'm 58..lol Now Paxil and Trazadone (Deseryl) kicked my butt....They were libido stompers. lol The house will not fall down the kids will not run out of clothes, Mcdonalds is right down the street. Take a couple days off and just lounge! After the second lounge day, try to get hubby to play!!! I hope you see the improvement..

Very funny Scotty; now beam down my clothes.

Here lies,
All cold and hard,
The last damn dog,
That pooped in my yard!

Listen Debbi, It's ot your fault! The SSRI's all have that quality. I used to have so much desire but every once in awhile, your mind can positively bring you over the edge. It is important that we feel well but also to have a good sex life. Unfortunately, the Physicians don't deal with that like they should. I need to be passionate also. I am by nature but know how you feel. If you find something out please let me know. Thanks,Jim

True, but every one reacts different to the same meds for the most part. What may be good for you isn't good for someone else. I am happy it is working for you though.

All The Best,

Jimmy

Jim,

I am Bi Polar 2 . I am newly diagnosed ( 2 years) I am 52. I am on Lithium, Trilepal, and Seroquel, for heavy Manic episodes. The seroquel affects my sex drive, so I take The little blue pill for ED, and wait until afterwars to take seroquel.Does anyone else take heavy meds. They really knock me out. Thanks, Van

I've had kind of a weird effect (I'm on Lithium, Welbutrin, and Zoloft). My sex drive hasn't really been affected, but my ability to climax has. Sort of turned the whole cliche on its head because 9 times out of 10 I'm waiting for my wife to finish. Good for her, but not so good for me because the stress it causes actually tends to exacerbate my condition. So even though my drive hasn't been affected per se, my desire is still affected nevertheless.

Hi all,

I am new to this. One major point to all of us. Sex is sex. Men should be gentle, kind and helpful to their wives. When I am on track with her, she is great in the bed. Because I have been bipolar for 35 years, I guess I have not been very much to set moods for our relationship. Over the last few years it has been better than good because I am there for her( until a manic episode hits).

Welcomr Van. I am so glad you found us. Ask questions, answer questions, read wherever you find interest, and make yourself comfortable. I don't know, even though I was a nurse before my disability, the effects that vary from men to women with our psych drugs. I take Seroquel Van. I really have not noticed an effect on my libido. I certainly, however, take it right before sleep. It puts me out within 20-30 minutes. I take 300mg. May I ask the dosage you take? I also take Lamictal and Lexapro, but those are in the morning. Again, welcome to the site I know you will find some comfort as well as support here.
