I would like to know if anyone out there has a combination of medications that DON'T cause sexual side effects.

I am taking 300mgs. of Wellbutrin, 10 MG of Prozac(this is the culprit), and 1.0 of Klonopin 2x a day.

I don't have ED but DE (Delayed Ejaculation). I hate to be so forthright and personal but I hope someone out there could take me serious enought to let me know what is working for them. Thanks,Jimmy

Hey Jim, I understand the side effects sometimes the cure is worse than the illness, any chance your doctor would consider changing out the prozac for something else? welbutrion isn't supppose to have that side effect, and I am on lamictal, it isn't suppose to either, and have you ruled out any other medical condition that could be causing it?

Thanks carmen,

I am on Wellbutrin as well and you are right. It does enhance things a bit. I know it is the Prozac because off of it I am like I was in my 30's. I don't have ED it's delayed, you know...

It's real frustrating for me!

Thanks,Jimmy

I can understand the frustrations, hubby and I both are on meds, me for the bipolar, he has just started something for depression, and then we both have other medications that can effect that part of your life, lol..

Good thing we like each others company otherwise we would be in trouble.

I hope I do not sound too uhh personal but... I did feel that way when I was on every type of anti deppresants but lo and behold, when I started lamictal then added adderall (for drowsiness and fuzziness- mental or physical, I dunno) I do enjoy ahem.... you know!

BUT that did not happen until after ummmm 6 months on this combo (I do not specifically know how it works but together it works!) However, better late than never.

Hope you do not think I am forward I mean.... Anyway, hope this helps?

Gods below, are there ANY psych meds out there that don't neuter you? Seroquel works great for my mood swings, and Luvox and Wellbutrin handle the depressive end of things, but I absolutely cannot get aroused. It's like, "Sex? What's that?"

I'm awfully glad I'm anonymous on here, because I have to admit I haven't been able to muster the interest in romping around for well over two years now. All I can say is my husband is a saint.

I'm not sure what to do about it, frankly. I don't have any hangups about it. I'm just profoundly bored with the whole process. Didn't used to be.

Comments, anyone?

Sex totally bores me too, unfortunately. My poor husband has had a time of it with me. I guess it is all the meds I am on, my libido is just very very low. I still find him sexually attractive but I just cant get aroused. I really havent been able to for a very long time now. I wish there was a viagra for women, I would take it!
