MDJunction to me

Macv"For me, MDjunction has been a place where I can share my experiences
living with the very rare bone disease called Ollier's ( Enchondromatosis ) with the parents of children recently diagnosed. I can help them not to run
into the pitfalls my parents did when I was young, give them a bit of a view
from their child's perspective and simply be there to offer support and
hope to people who are scared and just had their lives upended. I also belong to a chronic pain group and it's been a Godsend to be able to actually
talk with others who understand what I'm dealing with. Besides them helping me through my tough times, I can be there to help them as well. Here too, I can use my years of experience to help others avoid pitfalls and it makes me feel good, gives my life more purpose. MDjunction brings people
together when their suffering, at their darkest and feeling alone in this world and allows some light to be brought back into their lives. HOPE, that's what
MDjunction means to me!

I'm an Advocate

I try to just get a few things done at a time, I honestly wouldnt even do it at all either but I cant control my anxiety if I dont do it so its a lose lose for me lol. I cant relax in a messy house but I dont usually have energy to clean it. I am drained from the meds, my fibromyalgia, and Narcolepsy. I am fighting a never ending battle within my own body lol. I just get up and force myself to do the stuff little by little so I can relax and most stuff I make my kids do the night before so there isnt too much for me the next day. Wink
I suffer from Rapid Progressive MS, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Epilepsy, Migraines, Neuropathy, IBS, Narcolepsy, Arrythmia, Arthritis and too much more complete list on profile.

"Just because we have the right to disagree with a person, does NOT give us the right to disrespect that person."

I'm not currently active due to many personal and medical issues. I will not be participating in MDJ for awhile, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I hope everyone is well and I appreciate all of the thoughts, kind words and messages. I have tried to respond as much as possible and apologize if I have not gotten back to everyone. Love & Hugs, Stacey

It just seems like it's incredibly hard to have any motivation when your family just sits there and does nothing too. My husband comes home and watches TV or plays video games for 8 or 10 hours before falling asleep with the TV on , my step son plays the xbox all day, and even when I ask for help I don't get it. For example " I really need you to just do one chore a week, then I might be motivated to do the other 99.9% of the chores".. and still it doesn't happen.

It's a crappy cycle, because if i don't do the chores, I'm annoyed and upset that the house is a mess, but if i try to do the chores.. I end up with a half clean sink, clean and dirty clothes mixed together and for some reason CLR sitting on top of the stove.

I think the main part of my problem is my family not being willing to help me.

Families are supposed to help? LOL, just kidding. I beg, bribe, and threaten my family and nothing seems to work. I have actually witnessed several (there are 6 of us) members of my family WALK OVER trash the dog had gotten into instead of stopping and picking any of it up. The same goes for laundry. They'll just kick it out of their paths. Dishes? Left dirty wherever they happen to be at the time like on top of the TV, bathroom, laundry room...Are they serious? I could rip all of my hair out, but I'd just have to pick that up too.
