Hey and welcome to the site. I was diagnosed with BP II 2 months ago and Ive been on here since then. I have found so much support and so many friends. We all talk freely about whatever we need to, and no one judges anyone.

I dont struggle with drinking but I struggle with smoking cigarettes. I quit last Thursday cold turkey. I still want one every day.

Do your Dr know your drink? I told my Drs about me smoking and they gave me a lot of motivation to stop.

I hope you love this site as much as I do. Please dont hesitate to message me or anything if you need to talk.

Hey. Welcome :0) I am fairly new myself. I am BPII as well and still struggling. I have found that this support group is a good one. I am definitely not judgmental. I completely understand what you mean when people judge you. I have had times where people walked away from me b/c I am BP. Not many people understand the thoughts that go through our heads and the things we do. Hell I don't understand myself sometimes. I have found that its really great to have a support group like this to let go and talk about whats going on, what you are feeling etc, b/c everyone here has been in the same or similar situation and can give great advice on how to deal with yours. I hope you like it here. I really do. :0)

WElcome to you! I was diagnosed bp 2 2 months ago and I can understand a lot of what you are saying. If you ever need someone to talk to please feel free to message me. Maybe together we can all make sense of or vent our issues and be better able to understand ourselves.

Hi, Carlyo, welcome to the group, we are glad to have you here with us, like the others have said, you've found a place where there is no judgment, even in this day of enlightenment, there are still many folks out there, that associate our illness with the crazy people they see on TV, this isn't us, we are a group of folks with a illness, the illness isn't who we are, it's what we have, does your family understand at all? if not try educating them, educate yourself on this illness, while I have suffered from it a long time, I was only diagnosed in August, and was put on a moodstabilizer, for the most part the family understands, and there are others out there that do too, for those that refuse to understand? to hell with them, they are not worth your time.

This group is a wonderful place to come, ask questions, offer support, vent and cry if you need too, we all take different medications, I personally am on Lamictal and it has made a wonderful difference in my life. Are you taking meds? in therapy?

Carlyo, welcome to the group. Great bunch of people here supporting each other through the good and the bad.

I'm Red, my wife of 25 years has bipolar.

Feel free to join in anywhere. Ask questions, leave replies, vent and even make some new friends.

On the subject of Judgement the Bible says... Let he who is without sin be the first to throw a stone. (Red's paraphrase) No judgement here!

Glad you are here.

GOD BLESS

RED
