Hi, Carlyo, welcome to the group, we are glad to have you here with us, like the others have said, you've found a place where there is no judgment, even in this day of enlightenment, there are still many folks out there, that associate our illness with the crazy people they see on TV, this isn't us, we are a group of folks with a illness, the illness isn't who we are, it's what we have, does your family understand at all? if not try educating them, educate yourself on this illness, while I have suffered from it a long time, I was only diagnosed in August, and was put on a moodstabilizer, for the most part the family understands, and there are others out there that do too, for those that refuse to understand? to hell with them, they are not worth your time. This group is a wonderful place to come, ask questions, offer support, vent and cry if you need too, we all take different medications, I personally am on Lamictal and it has made a wonderful difference in my life. Are you taking meds? in therapy? |
