The problem is on a support group web site, going around making posts like your the mascot for pot and all things wonderful about it is pathetic. I also hope those that are sufferring from abusing that come to check out these posts dont feel the desire to accept what a pothead says on a board is intelligent. Wrong is wrong. Perhaps joining a web site that is strictly for potheads is the appropriate place to make these remarks. Not a support group for people with problems ranging from mental disorders or addictions. |

Dear honestguy, Please re-read all my posts on this thread. I said nothing mean about you at all. The worst I said was that I thinks its pathetic to make these type of posts on a support website that is here for people with mental conditions like myself and people with addictions like myself. Not one mean word to you sir. I dont have a mean thought in my head about you at all. Your last post to me on this thread was kinda weird but I ignored it because obviously you and I think differently. I still think its wrong on a support web site that is read by people with drug addictions to read the posts you have made in the promotion of marijuana. I will not change my opinion on that but I do not leave this thread with one bad thought of you as a person at all. I do ask however that you don't follow me around to other posts I have made on this support group web site on different threads and acuse me of telling you off like you just did a few minutes back. That is not right. I respect you have differrent opinions than me but please no 3rd grde behaviour. It doesn't help either one of us. |

 Hello, to you all this AM, woke up to find discord, here on this thread, I do not wish to lock it but will if it gets out of hand.Bill, I understand exactly where you are coming from in the addiction aspect, as a addict myself, pot, speed, alcohol, etc.. you have and I have the same worries about this post coming across as a pro-self medicating one, but the simple truth here is there is truth in what Honestguy has to say, there are many medicinal uses for the pot plant, That science is only now starting to realize. I do believe we are all adults here and can have discussions on a subject like this as adults. I have a disease called hidradenitis, one of the members of a group that I belong too, uses the medical marijuana as a pain medication as he not only has the HS but has another illness that is attacking his body. There is nothing else at the moment that would allow him movement or the ability to function that the pot does. For me personally, it isn't the way to go, but for someone else, it might be and is not my right to say otherwise, I believe that if it is being used under a doctors supervision and with their blessing then there is nothing wrong with it, while it like everything else on this planet can cause problems with health in other ways, if it allows the person to function with a better quality of life, then it should be legal. Lets not resort to name calling, ok? or degrading the other person even without name calling as most of us here I believe can add two and two and come up with four. |

I thought on this site we are here to help eachother and not judge anyone whether someone somes pot or not that is their choice who are we to judge the if self medicating works for someone then God bless them whether some of us like or not. Please let that person do what they want for I think what ever works is a good thing for that person so if you don't like it please move on |

Hey Lone, you are very right about being here to support and help each other, there is a difference though between medicating using a doctors supervision and self-medicating, self medicating is along the lines of addictions, such as alcoholism, addictions to street drugs, it serves no purpose beyond the user feeling high, it doesn't address the issue at hand. Honest says that he uses the MJ under a doctors direction, to me this isn't self medicating.. it's using a medicine that treats his issues where other things might not, my friend who uses the pot under doctors supervision would have to take enough morphine to turn him into a zombie vegetable, where the pot on the other hand takes the edge off his pain and allows him to still function, he can't work, which is killing him, but he can help around the house. I do not personally advocate self medicating but I do stand behind those that have a doctors supervision on the use of drugs that are considered illegal. Once science gets over their aversion to using natural medicines, then we will all learn about what nature has to offer, many of the old home remedies have been proven to have healing properties.

thank you Carmen & lone i really feel like telling bill how i feel but ill hold it in b/c Obviously he was an addict and not educated on the benefits of pot.. yes i get it from a doctor. thats were ill leave it, i thought this site was to help people to, i dont appreciate what bill said but thats his opinion. lucky i can hold back from mine b/c someone really needs to tell him but i guess Carmen said it best.. so im done with it get educated ......... there is a cure for every disease out there, a natural one just open your eyes quit believing what people tell you. find out for yourself thank you all for understanding and to u bill.. im up for chat anytime if u can get over the fact i use pot and im not a bad person just b/c u couldn't handle ur pot... have a nice day & smile little, life isn't so bad Why Lie, When you Can Just Be Honest

o i forgot to mention, u make a big deal out of this being a support group true, thats why i tell people what helps me just b/c Prozac made me cut myself & burn myself, i dont go around telling people dont use Prozac, it is against everything.. u know everyone uses what they choose, luckily i dont have to buy pot off the street like i used to.. anyways all im saying is.. it shouldn't matter what one uses to feel better as long as they dont be an asshole bout it some drink, some use mad made pills, some use natural things who gives a shit love people for who they are not what they have become if that makes any sense Why Lie, When you Can Just Be Honest
