I have applied already, fairly certain that I'm not going to get better all of the sudden, but know very little about what to expect other than to wait forever. Any tips/advice?
Diagnosed with: BP, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, GAD, and Tourette's Disorder

Depakote ER 2000mg
Klonopin 0.5mg twice daily

I'm an Advocate

I got it a few years ago for a few illnesses that I have, It was pretty stressful to handle on my own. I ended up with a lawyer after filing for a hearing it became so much easier that way and I did win after almost a 2 year wait. It was worth it. Its hard not having income for so long but its all retroactive from the day you apply and you get the money rather quickly once you are approved. Dont be discouraged if you are denied the first or even second time that is what they hope to accomplish for people to give up. Keep at it and stay strong. We are all here for your support. Smile Keep us updated on your progress and best of luck! Stacey
I suffer from Rapid Progressive MS, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Epilepsy, Migraines, Neuropathy, IBS, Narcolepsy, Arrythmia, Arthritis and too much more complete list on profile.

I'm not currently active due to many personal and medical issues. I will not be participating in MDJ for awhile, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I hope everyone is well and I appreciate all of the thoughts, kind words and messages. I have tried to respond as much as possible and apologize if I have not gotten back to everyone. it took me almost two years to get Disability...they will deny you, you appeal, theay deny you again, then they set up a hearing with a judge, but the good thing is they give you backpay, which means they will pay you for each month from when you first applied

Cool! I just hope like hell we can survive long enough for it to kick in. It's tough as it is, but I'll survive. Have so far at least!
