Folks, EPS is a hell of a side effect, just make sure the meds you are taking do not have this side effect because it's irreversible. Most meds do not have these side effects. But you never know with the new ones. However, DO NOT ABRUPTLY STOP TAKING TOPAMAX!!!! These meds are also anti-seizure medications and can cause EPILECTIC SEIZURES, NOT EFFIN GOOD. Any anti-seizure medication, which is also used in conjuction with bipolar/depression therapeutic meds can cause this and eff u up majorily when u stop it without tapering it. Honestly, I am antimeds, but it helps me function. Topamax does make me feel like a dumbass and talk slow at times, but I have managed to stay on the deans list and I am on it because of my migraines. I also lost tons of weight while on it, but I also exercise. Thanks for posting your comment, I am going to talk to my doctor when I get some cash about taking me off Topamax. I get bouts of depression alot. I have degrees in psych, however, I am into cognitive psych, not overmedicating people and prescribing meds only as last resort. In state of California, mental institutions and prison, medication is considered the most restrictive type of restraint. I take meds because I feel like a lost cause.
