Hi everyone,

I think I would feel a whole lot better if my pdoc would just stop changing my meds. This whole sleep deprivation/ withdrawals has really made a mess of my life. I finally am off the Nuvigil after two weeks and got Ambien to help me sleep. I have a migraine, sick to my stomach & feel drained.

Right now I just want to get off all my meds and start over. This is getting to be too much for me to handle.

peace & hugs
Rick

You really are being put through a lot. I hope this eases up soon for you. Is the sleep medication working for you? Making you sleep sooner and longer? Maybe those side effects will lessen in time. Stick with it though. Your psychiatrist has been good with you. I know it's hard, but keep hanging. I wish you wellness and less frustration.

Changing meds is the hardest thing we have to do. Stick with it and hopefully it will pay off in the end with stability. Perhaps your pdoc could slow down on the changes? Have you talked to him about that?

hang in there. Unfortunately alll of our body chemistry is different and some of us get the right cocktail sooner than others. The interium pain is worth it, believe me, it took 6 plus months when I was first dianosed to get stability. In the end the prize is worth the sacrifice. You will get there, you are putting in the work and the sacrifice. Keep the faith and the good work, your right cocktail will happen and it will be an incredible epiphany. Hugs and support.

I'm feeling a little better today, I slept about 6 hours using the Ambien alone. I didn't take any Valium or Zyprexa as directed by my pdoc because they are long acting and may be causing me to feel sleepy during the day. I was still sleepy this morning but I think its getting better. Could be just an Ambien hangover. We'll see how the day goes.

The frustrating part in all this is I was mostly stable for 5 years, then crashed in November last year.

I was out of work until the second week in February this year. Was just getting stable again when we tried Paxil for my depression. The Paxil eventually made me hypomanic and messed up my sleep routine and its been out of whack ever since. The Ambien seems to be helping me get back on track but its taking time. Since my crash I've lost a lot of self esteem and confidence to cope with this disorder and my environment. I haven't given up though this disorder is kicking my @$$.

peace & hugs
Rick
