I'm one of those people that doesn't lose my appetite for anything and when I'm depressed, it's worse.

I have been on Geodon only for a month now; 20mg. twice a day. I see my pdoc tomorrow and I'm hoping he will give me something for the depression I've been in. I am barely able to function.

To make things worse, my husband was admitted to the hospital on Friday morning via the ER. He developed an irregular heartbeat that they can't get under control. He had quintuple bypass surgery a year ago last September and now they are talking about a pacemaker. He had his heart attack and surgery 3 days before our wedding; we ended up getting married in the ICU at the hospital the day after his surgery. Needless to say I'm a wreck. I'm eating meals that consisit of drive-thrus, pizza and junk food from the hospital cafeteria and munching on garbage in between. My sugar intake from Pepsi alone right now is frightening. I was supposed to be losing some weight before we went on vacation in July; I'll be lucky if I don't gain 50 pounds by then.

Anyway, for those of you who pray, I could use one for my hubby right now. I'm off to the hospital.

Sorry to hear about your husband and your depression. I couldnt imagine being in your shoes right now. You have to stop beating yourself up about eating. some people eat for comfort and I think thats what you need. FOrget about the weightloss and focus on yourself. I will keep you and your husband in my prayers.

Jessy and Chris,

Thank you so much for responding; I don't seem to get a lot of that these days and it's making me want to leave this group. Don is doing better; they performed a procedure where they shocked his heart back into a regular rhythm and he should be coming home hopefully today.

Thanks again.

Colleen

No problem ColleenSmile I'm glad that things are looking up. I was worried and I've felt the way you do at one point as far as wanting to leave the group due to lack of responses; you sure aren't alone on that one chica.

Honey, sounds like you have a full plate...and I don't mean food. Yes, I have been and will continue to pray for you and husband. Hugs

Thanks, Liz. He is doing better although they still don't know what caused the irregular heartbeat and he isn't back to work yet. I appreciate the prayers.

I'm so glad to hear your hubby is doing better. I hope the docs can figure out why the irregular heartbeat occurred. I also hope you are feeling better, sweetie.
