Bipolar Type II Support Group

I am currently on Lamictal only, I am still feeling the depression so I am thinking about asking my pdoc to put me on an antidepressant when I see him next week. I was on Zoloft before and it was a nightmare...I was SO hypomanic then I would have intense crying spells. I am kind of traumatized so I am reluctant to go on antidepressants again at all. I looked up Wellbutrin and I know it helps with weight loss, which is the main reason I like it. I am 110lbs, but I do not want to gain weight. Is anyone taking Lamictal with Wellbutrin? And if so, how is it working for you?

I am on both, but a very low dose of Welbutrin as going higher than 100mg makes me manic. It gives me energy and helps with the Depression, but I am also on Cymbalta too.

I am also currently on both. Wellbutrin can make you manic, but with me the trick was I had to take the wellbutrin XL once a day in order to avoid the hypomania. The standard wellbutrin set me off into hypomania and panic attacks. Sometimes it just causes hypomania in people when they 1st start it and it then goes away. The nice thing about it is it gives me energy like Janna said. It also helps with focus.
