My pdoc finally emails me this morning and tells me to call her assistant to make an appointment with her. That doesn't sound like she's going to see me today or she would have said that in her email. So I call her assistant to make an appointment and of course I get voicemail, you never get a real person anymore and I left a message that it was urgent I see pdoc today. Then realizing that assistant can and does take all day to get back to me I decided to email pdoc again and told her can she see me today. No she can't. She can see me tomorrow at 1:30. Under other circumstances that would have been fine. But I contacted her last Wednesday. She couldn't have told me last Thursday morning when she called, instead of just saying she was busy to then say she wanted me to come in for an appointment. Perhaps then I could have had an appointment for today. So I feel like I've been blown off once again. I'm so sleep deprived that at this point I keep having crying spells. On top of all this my auto immune disease has flared up. I'm so mad at my pdoc, I really wish I could get a new one, but she's the only one in town I can afford, so I'm stuck with her. So needless to say tonight will be another sleepless night. Signed....Sleepless in Colorado.

You have a right to be angry. She's probably overbooked but should have mentioned it when her assistant called you. You might feel better by telling her the trouble it took to get an appointment with her. <<HUG>> My heart goes out to you.

That's not good, she should have communicated better with you. I'm sorry you are struggling so much. I am very happy that she is getting you in tomorrow though. At least it wasn't a week away. Hang in there, you have us to talk to and we'll help you any way we can. I wish you could get another psychiatrist. I would definitely tell her all the trouble it has taken to get in with her and your feelings about it. Hope this lets up for you to get some sleep tonight.

Thanks Joy!

I just so happen to luck out and get to talk to my therapist by phone today and got to tell him about what was going on with my pdoc. He suggested I talk to her about why this all happened. I hope I will have the courage to do so. She will actually be leaving in July, next month. So I forgot I will actually get my wish for a new pdoc. I hope we get a really good pdoc to replace her. For all I know we could do worse. You know the old saying "Careful what you wish for" lol.

I don't know how long it will be till I sleep again as I know there's no guarantees that whatever my pdoc may have me try may not necessarily work, but somehow it feels better to know there's hope of maybe getting sleep the next night. My pdoc in Austin, TX basically ran through the gamet of prescribing all the insomnia meds for me and none worked. I went 9 months without sleeping. Then I just so happened to move to Colorado and was no longer his problem and was prescribed Trazadone when I first moved here, which was a miracle drug for me. Worked for 8 wonderful years. So I'm looking for my new sleep mirale drug and hoping it doesn't take 9 months to find. So my fingers are crossed for relief tomorrow night.

13.5 more hours till my appointment.
