I'm an Advocate

Have you tried calling tricare to see f they could refer you to someone. It's worth a shot

at this point. You can also look online.

I sorry you are having such a hard time right now. Maybe taking some benadryl might help you slow down a little. I take it sometimes and it helps some. I live in NC so I don't know of any hotlines or places you can call.

I hope you find some answers soon.

peace & hugs
Rick

I'm sorry you're going through this right now. Do you have a pdoc? If so, you might want to contact him/her. If not, then ask tricare for a referral. I don't live in Mississipi, so I can't help you there. I'm here for you, though, so if you need someone to talk to, you can PM me.

Does tricare have a website? If so, they might list the places that they cover. It's worth a try. Also, look up inpatient treatment centers for bipolar and ask them if they accept tricare.

If things are really bad for you, go to the ER. They can help.

Not sleeping is a huge issue - it makes our mood swings so much worse, so you really need to get some sleep. The ER can help with that, but so can any doctor. Just be sure to tell them that you are BP II so they know which meds to give you to sleep. Seroquel changed my life, for example.

You also need to eat regularly to keep your blood sugar level and your mood more stable. Even eating small things like fruit and yogurt can help.

You didn't say if you were on any medications. If not, please make an appointment with a pdoc ASAP so you can get some help. Nothing gets better without the right medications. I know, because I went 40 years without a proper diagnosis or meds and it was a wild ride. Don't be like me: go see a psychiatrist and get help. If tricare doesn't cover one, find one who works on a sliding scale if you need to. There is help out there. Please get it.

In the meantime, you can PM me if you just need to talk. I've been where you are and I truly understand how you feel.

My opinions are just opinions, and should be taken as such. I am not an expert on medicines or BP disorder.
