Hope this message finds everyone well, I am doing pretty good this morning, actually slept in for a change, didn't get up till 530, lol, yes, for me that is sleeping in, between the diabetes and sleep apnea, I generally don't get a restful nights sleep.

I wake up most times between 130 and 330, makes for a very long day...wasn't doing so well yesterday, warned the hubby not to mess with me, lol.. but I figure even with a nap, it was just from being overly tired.

Today I am feeling pretty good, feel like I had a restful night, and was looking at the kitchen...lot's to do in there today, I cooked last night, and I am one of those that uses just about every pot in the house when I am cooking. But the good news is leftovers...don't have to cook tonight and will figure out something simple for tomorrow, we are having a friend over to help Glenn move the tools and stuff out of the backyard over to a storage unit that we were able to rent here on the property. just as big as the ones that they are asking 80.00 per month on at the storage places, and we are getting it for 25.00 per month, I might go ahead and buy one for us at tax time, but then again, I might not, as that will just mean that we will have to move the thing if we decide to move again...lol, I have enough stuff to move if we do, without having to dismantle a storage building. If we could figure out how to put wheels on the thing and a tow hook up, it would not be so hard..

Today is lookin' good!

Bought a Leslie Sansone tape last night. It is a walking program you can do at home, strange, but my friends on SparkPeople love it. With the mall and late day traffic getting so hectic I like the idea of going straight home.

That sounds like a good way to get exercise, might have to look into that myself, could use some, I use to work retail and would be all over the store that we had, I swear I walked 20 miles a day and my Doctor told me that didn't count, I needed to raise my cardio..to make it count, I don't go near a mall during this season, if I have to hit Walmart, I go at like 4 in the morning, while most folks are home in bed...lol, can't stand the crowds.

Man, me too. I hate crowds. My husband wants me to go to concerts with him, but I don't like the Rock n' Roll that he does, and I don't like large #'s of people.

Carmen - That's a great deal on the storage unit!!!I'm with you on the kitchen. I loaded the dishwasher, and it still didnt help LOL. Thank goodness for friends!Glad someone is coming over to help! I have a clean bathroom tho!!YAY

Clover - I have some Leslie Sansone tapes. They are really a great work out!I lost 60 lbs just by eating healthy, drinking water & doing Leslie Sansone tapes. I stopped doing them, thats probably why I got those extra 20 lbs back!!LOL. You will have fun with them!

My morning was kinda iffy this morning!Might be lookin' up tho! I got up at 1:30, fell back asleep at 4, got back up at 6. I got about 5 hours of sleep. I got to watch some pretty good shows, i woke up early enough so I didnt have to watch those dang paid programming shows HAHA..

Hope everyone has a HAPPY Friday

Glad to hear that your morning is turning around, and don't forget that naps are allowed if you get tired, when the child goes down for a nap so can Momma..lol..

My morning was going great, till I got mad at my husband for leaving my drill driver outside, he is the only man I have met in my life that takes such lousy care of his tools, having been single for many years, having husbands that were not worth much more than getting on my nerves, I have had to learn to do basic car repairs and house repairs on my own. So I have my own toolbox, which I have to replace most of my tools, between my brothers and my husband stealing most of them, I have very few left. I paid almost 200.00 for the drill driver, and Glenn has already managed to fry one of the batteries, it came with two, has lost my charger for it, thankfully we found it again, I have no clue as to where the carry case is for it, I generally put it back in the carry case so that I can find it. Men I swear...!!!!

Anyway, he is now in the kitchen getting my shelf put in so that I can get all the pots, pans, and their assorted lids in the cabinets, I could have done it myself, but I like to make him feel like I need him for something in my life. I have learned though if I want it done in any reasonable amount of time, without having to nag about it, to start it myself and then he will take over...lol.. I've had to explain to him and to my brothers that just because I have tits, doesn't mean that I am stupid... I believe most women should learn the basics, as if something happens to the men in their lives, they need to be able to take care of themselves and to also keep from getting ripped off by people of less than honest charcter...

I do a lot of DYI, too. My husband and I work together. He too has trouble putting away the tools. So I have taken to picking-up after him, after all he does alot for me, so it's fair and then I don't lose the tools (giving more reasons for me to be upset). I have my own set too, but we share anyway.

This weekend after the fireplace project - he cleaned up!!! You should have seen the smile on his face when I expressed my gatitude (and not sarcastically either)!!

lol, amazing what can make them happy, after Glenn put the shelf in, I ooh'd and ahh'd over it, gave him a great big kiss, and a hug, and you could tell by the look on his face he felt like he had just built the Washington Monument...lol...

I won't pick up after mine, if I was doing the work with him, that would be another subject, but he has to learn to be responsible for his own actions and not expect me to follow around behind him cleaning up his messes...

I lost my temper with him this morning, and after I had calmed down a bit, I explained to him why I had gotten upset about it (it didn't matter we have had this same conversation 20 times already) he has this idea that rain and moisture won't hurt things, we were given a nice weed whacker, I told him about putting it in the shed so it would not get rained on, he assured me that it would not hurt it, well 2 months later after it laying outside, we had to throw it away because it rusted solid and we could not use it anymore. He has a habit of borrowing others tools, and I live in terror of it, as I know how he treats his own and mine, borrowing someone elses, I feel obligated to replace them if they get ruined, and the tools that he borrows are not cheap ones either..

Groung Hog Day, remember?

If something doesn't get better after doing the same way over and over (20 times+), maybe it is time for a change. If you actively help him, he will see that you are serious.

Yelling or speaking from anger doesn't say anything to most of us humans. The force of the emotions turns off our ability to listen clearly and makes us self-defensive.

I guess I am pleased by the same sort of thing that our men are, I know I beam too when my husband compliments my cooking. Even though I don't find cooking difficult, it's just so nice to hear. Especially 'cause he really means it
