Think I'm going to have to get off the Litium. I still got the loud ringing back,

balance problems, typing problems, memory problems. I just can't have this in my line of work.

I'm on 300mg on Lamictal that should me enough to counteract any mania from the Prozac.

ITs always something SadBlink Sick Shocked Dizzy

it sounds to me like a good idea. as specially as you said in your field of work, i can see how those side effects would interfere with your job.

I was hoping it would work this time but

I'm pretty sure these are the same issues I has before just not as bad. Lat time I was started at 1200 so it got bad fast. ITs OK it not the first time something didn't work out. ITs affecting my memory too. Not that it wasn't already bad but I actually got up early washed up washed my hair, shaved and went to work... Its Sunday! I don't work Sunday's Sick Blink Dizzy

I made the best of it and went for breakfast, and picked up the equipment to paint the living room. And I still forgot the darn edger.... can't remember S&%^.

I also took the wrong meds this morning and was panicking because I didn't have enough Lamictal W00t I'm freaking loosing it!

I'm going to need a nap after this morning.lol

lol it just get worse The Lamictal I was supposed to be taking 300mg were 150s and not 100mg and I've been taking 450mg for the past 3 weeks, and I think I double dossed my Prozac. This is not like me at all.

I'll be back to ship shape after tomorrow.

I call my pdoc, maybe they can fit me in.

I still think its the Lithium causing the problems. Lamictal never effected me that much before, even when we went to 300mg from 200mg. I don't know what she'll say about this whole screw up. Maybe we'll stay at 400mg of Lamictal and go up to 30mg Prozac, after all I need to take care of the depression.... I think I said this already..lol

peace & hugs

Rick,

I hope you can get into see your pdoc tomorrow. Perhaps until the memory issues calm down make yourself some notes to leave around the house and a calendar by the door. I know I have to make lists now or I will forget the simplest little things.

Hang in there!

This is awful Rick! I'm so sorry this is happening to you. All of this is very disturbing to you I'm sure. I hope you can get in to see your psychiatrist soon. The memory thing seems quite bad to deal with. All of the things you did just today should tell your psychiatrist something is wrong. I hope you can get a change asap.

Hey, Rick! Did you get that nap?

I know I'm not a doctor or a pharmacist, but I do know a bit about Lamictal; I've been on it for years. I take 200 mg twice a day, no side effects, so I wouldn't worry about the 450 mg you took for a while; It probably didn't hurt you any.

Have you spoken to your pdoc about adding an antipsychotic (like Abilify) to your anticonvulsant, Lamictal? I take both together, with a few other meds for other ailments, and, as my pdoc explained, the Lamictal works on the "low end" of depression and the Abilify on the "high end" of hypomania or mania, so together make one terrific mood stabilizer that keeps me stable and (mostly) sane. You may even need less Lithium and/or Prozac with this combination. If you haven't tried them together yet, ask your pdoc. Again, I'm not a health care professional, but I know when I feel right!

And don't feel bad about Sunday; it may not be the bipolar, it might just be age, lol! (I know, I didn't find it funny when a (former) doctor told me that. But I don't think he was kidding.) Anyway, you look pretty young compared to me.

Hang in there buddy...blessings, Jeni
