MDJunction to me

nvrsubtle"Not having any local Bipolar support groups where I live, MDJuntion has given me a place in which people understand what I am going through and has given me a new outlook on life with support that is real and good. Without
the support that I receive from MDJunction, I would be wandering through
life with no one who understands me. I owe so much to MDJunction for giving
me a life line to help get me through the toughest times.

caffeine withdrawal really bites.

I'm trying to do better with my caffeine intake now that I'm on Lithium. I have just woke up from a sound sleep with the most painful migraine! Felt like my brain was pounding on my skull. So I took 2 Tylenol and a diet Pepsi "Pepsi is a registered trade mark" Tongue

Who could have figured doing something good could hurt so bad...

I figured less caffeinated drinks = better sleep Instead I end up away at midnight with a slamming headache. Well now that I wrote all this the Pepsi seems to be kicking in and the headache is going away.

a little under 15 minutes. Wow this stuff works fast..Smile

Think I'll be up a while since I already slept 3 hours.

I give you credit for trying to cut down! I'm pretty sure it would hurt me too. I know it's hurting your sleep now but it will help when the withdrawal is over. Hang in there!

well.. it hurts when you go cold turkey!! you can step down.. but unfortunately they don't have a patch for that.. Wink I went cold turkey, and I'm a BIG coffee and Diet Coke drinker.. I hurt for a few days.. but now I feel fine... it seems to really help my cycling..

I didn't know it was so hard to get off of caffeine. I guess I never really tried it. I really should though because it's not good for you. I drink a lot of tea, I mean a lot of tea. i don't drink sodas. I would not welcome a migraine though. I hope you can taper down and get off the caffeine soon. I do hear that you aren't supposed to drink caffeine with Lithium water is the best thing and lots of it. I wish you luck. You can do it.
