MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." Cut down the Zyprexa so I'm not feeling doped up. The Prozac is working well I'm feeling more stable now. I have energy and no mania. I'm glad I decided to tough it out at 10mg because I finally feel good.

Its taken a few months and a lot of trial and error as it usually goes when meds get changed. Another good thing is my anxiety level is lower so I get two for one deal with the Prozac. Smile

peace & hugs
Rick

that's awesome rick...i thought you were cutting out the prozac altogether which i was sad for you about as i know it addressed your anxiety...20mg of citalopram was waaaaaaaay too much for me so maybe 10mg of an anti-d is something for me to think about should my remaining depression not shift Smile

here's to a happy indefinate future for you on that med Smile

Thanks Benny,

I hope it keeps working Smile

I think it just took longer to work for me. This is week 5 I believe. So 4-6 weeks is about right.

I had good results with Zoloft for a couple years so maybe this will do the same.

peace & hugs

Rick, I am sooo glad to hear that your meds are working well right now! That's great that the Prozac is helping you. It's also taken me a lot of trial and error with my meds too, but after my pdoc added Lamictal I am feeling awesome!! Doesn't it feel great to finally feel good?
