MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

You could try asking for a rx of cogentin. It is supposed to combat nasty side effects like tremors
Meds:
Geodon 160mgs daily
Tegratol 300mgs daily
Klonopin 1-2mgs prn
Synthroid .100mcg daily
Protonix 20mg daily
Hydrocodone 5/350mg prn

Some of these meds can do that, Depakote is another one. Are you drinking enough water? Are you drinking caffiene? You may want to speak to your pdoc if it's persistant, there is a med that counteracts tremors called propranalol. If it doesn't counteract with anything most times they will put patients on it to stop them if they are that bad. Good luck! Wink

That has got to be troublesome. Definitely talk to your psychiatrist about this. There are medications that you can take to stop this.

I had tremors on Lithium and we had to stop it. Of course I was started at a dose that is suggested and that does not usually work well with me. It was just too much.

I would try it again with my new pdoc if she thought it would work. She almost always starts me off a low doses which work for me. I'm pretty sensitive to a lot of these meds.

I would defiantly call the pdoc. and let him/her know whats happening.

peace & hugs

I agree with the others. Call your pdoc asap and let them know what's going on. Your level needs to be checked and a medication more than likely needs to be added to fight the tremors. Good luck and keep us posted!
