1) Please no arguing! Please keep others feelings in mind when posting. If someone says something that you find offensive, PLEASE CONTACT ME. Noone is to attack another member in any way.

Be considerate to other members feelings. Think before you type, What may not bother you could very well bother and offend or even trigger someone else. Although it's easy to say, "Look the other way" potentially offensive posts shouldn't be posted

NO SWEARING OR OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE OF ANY KIND WILL BE TOLERATED IN THE FORUMS, YOUR POST WILL BE DELETED AND IF YOU ARE A REPEAT OFFENDER YOU CAN POTENTIALLY BE PUT UP TO BE UNDER REVIEW FOR A BAN FROM MDJ.

2) NO discussions of Religion

'God Bless You' at the end of your posts is okay. It' okay to ask for people to pray for you. We're not saying that God isn't welcomed here. You all know the difference between just being a religious person vs. slamming it into someone. Religious discussions are just not permitted on the site.

3) No discussion of Politics.

Discussions of politics can also create big fights and cause disagreements. If it has to be discussed, please use some other means to discuss it.

4) No discussion of attempting suicide, we are not equipped. Your post will be deleted by us or Roy immediatley and your membership xl'd more info in another thread.

5) Plain and Simple NO SPAM!

Absolutely NO personal advertising. There is a big line between trying a product and sharing your experiences and using the forums to sell a product that most likely isn't even related to the group.

If you're sharing a talent for something that you can do or just wanted to tell everyone of something that brings extra relief for you to a lancing or a surgery , that is totally different. If you have any questions about a product or something you would like to post and are unsure please contact a group leader.

6) We really need to stay on topic. If you find that someone is off topic- you can help out the leader(s) with that, by simply making another post that's about the topic. That can help the forum and post get back on track.

7) No diagnosing of any kind, refer the questioning member to a pdoc. We are NOT doctors and should not attempt the role. Support only!

It boils down to that as a leader, I just simply request that you're in this group for all the right reasons. We should all be here to share our experiences, ask questions, help, care, and provide support to one another when possible.

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to read. I dont make the rules I just post them as a reminder and we will enforce them when needed. Thanks for your help and remember if you have questions of any kind, or simply want to drop a line, feel free to send them to me via message. Wink

I suffer from Rapid Progressive MS, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Epilepsy, Migraines, Neuropathy, IBS, Narcolepsy, Arrythmia, Arthritis and too much more complete list on profile.

"Just because we have the right to disagree with a person, does NOT give us the right to disrespect that person."

I'm not currently active due to many personal and medical issues. I will not be participating in MDJ for awhile, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I hope everyone is well and I appreciate all of the thoughts, kind words and messages. I have tried to respond as much as possible and apologize if I have not gotten back to everyone. Love & Hugs, Stacey

Thank you for bumping this up I really needed a refresher and its important that we follow the rules so we can continue to have a safe and welcoming forum to everybody. We never know who we are going to have here or what age group will be here at any time. I would like to think of MJD as a family friendly forum.

peace & hugs

Hi, I'm pretty new here and I JUST found this blog...so I'm very sorry if I've already written anything on my page or anything...I wasn't aware of the rules until now. I have a hard time finding my way around a new website haha. Not very computer savvy.

Thanks for posting these though...I agree.

A question regarding photos: I'd love to post some real ones of me so all you folks can know a little bit more of me, and i notice that some people do, but then i notice that a lot of people don't, and I worry that someone in my community who is not bp might somehow find me on here, which would be devastating. What are peoples' thoughts on this? Thanks!

Everything ego-based eventually comes tumbling down -- everything we attempt to hide is eventually and inevitably exposed. The solution is to stop hiding it. Nothing can bring us to our knees if we are already there, in the daily practice of surrendering, with intention, humility and grace.
