"Child Abuse" (kathrynemae)

MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

I was just talking to countrymouse about this. My wife hears things often, and appearently its not to unusual to "see" things as well.

It has happened to me, but not due to BP (in my case it was being hypersensitive to noise due to PTSD).

Cry HAVOC! and let slip the lemmings of war!

She turned me into a newt!.... I got better

You would diffently get more and better answers out of her than I could give you.

Hi ashley, it's good to see you posting this morning.

I agree with "thisblows" on talking to your pdoc. But my understanding is that this isn't uncommon among those of us with BP. I personally have a problem with hearing someone calling my name. It happens mostly at work where my stress level is higher than anywhere else, but it has, once or twice, woken me up out of a sound sleep. Try paying close attention to what is going on with you at the moment it is happening. Maybe there is some sort of trigger than you can identify.

Maybe it has something to do with sleep or being in a relaxed state. Even though I hear my name mostly at work, the only other time is during sleep. It could be caused by any number of things, so checking with the pdoc is a still a very good idea. It sounds to me like you know that this isn't real and that's a very good thing.
