I happened to be looking through my discharge paperwork today, and I noticed my admitting diagnosis was schizoaffective disorder. When I asked my doctor while on the unit what my diagnoses were he told me Bipolar (I), Severe Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. Could the schizo affective just be a guess by the ER department? I know Bipolar accompanies schizoaffective, but I don't believe I show any traits of itPinch

You could have schizoaffective bipolar disorder. There was someone in my PHP program who had that.

If you want to know for sure just ask your pdoc for your exact diagnosis, they may not have had an accurate diagnosis in the hospital and were just going by symptoms or something or maybe it was coding to admit you I dont know but your pdoc who treats you and knows you best can tell you for sure.
