Finding this site has eased the fear of this diagnosis. I've known my whole life that I was just the square peg never fitting in the round hole. My pdoc very nonchalantly says "you have BP II" Really?! I just always called it "rage & anger"!! Thank you for saying its just BPII..for a second I thought it could be serious...A little sarcasm has always been helpful to me. I'm just looking for wisdom and support from other square pegs.

Welcome Mini. I think you're going to "fit" right in here. Your sarcasm will be very well accepted in this GREAT group of people!!! I think you'll get all the wisdom and support (and sarcasm) that you're looking for!! WELCOME.

Welcome to the group! Its great to have you here. This is a very supportive group where you can meet a ton of great new friends. Getting my diagnosis was a relief to me thats for sure. Putting a name to my "craziness" really helped me. I knew it was not cureable but totally manageable once we found the right combo of meds. It did take me awhile to do that because I am super sensitive to meds but once I did I felt happier and more stable than I ever had before. I have now been stable for 9 mos. It just takes trial and error and some time and patience. You will get there, you are not alone. Keep posting we are here for you. Stacey Wink

I hope everyone is well and I appreciate all of the thoughts, kind words and messages. I have tried to respond as much as possible and apologize if I have not gotten back to everyone. My advice is free, completely anecdotal, and comes from my own experience. Always talk to your doctor before you change anything.
