I'm on cymbalta. Seems to work well for me. Abilify did not - I was twitching and jumping around like a 5 year old. I couldn't stand it. I wonder with cymbalta if I'll continue to have episodes? Does it just limit the severity? Should I be on something else? I just quit smoking a month ago and I had an anxiety depression episode today. I was on the verge of tears - my thoughts just snowball to awful things. I was gonna take Xanax for todays issue, but I didn't know when the expiration date was on it. Thanks for any help.

Cymbalta and Wellbutrin? Please ask the doc because they both have similiar elements that may be too much. Just ask him why? Simple question and you have the right to know why and what you are taking. If he gets annoyed "Donald Trump Him"!

Hi Monkey, when was the last time you saw your doctor? you need to get ahold of them and let them know what is going on, if the Xanax was not prescribed for you, taking it might not be a good idea, welbutron is a anti-depressant, I've taken it before, but being a bipolar, you need to have a mood stabilizer in there too, I'm not sure what cymbalta is classed as.

Call or go see your doctor and let them know what is going on with you.. then let us know how you are.

Wellbutrin wasn't for me. Doc took me off that one. I don't know, I may contact doc if things don't get better. Every time I switch medicine it throws me off. I need to wait until I have some time off from work to adjust to different meds.

Don't let there be any "may contact" about it, contact them today, medication changes can be a problem, but perhaps they can lower the dose on this one while adding another to replace it. Waiting for time off might not be a good thing with this..

How long does it generally take for you to adjust?

It usually takes me two weeks to adjust to different medication. If I can tolerate the new meds. I've had bad experiences switching meds before and I hate it. For example, when I started Wellbutrin, I took it for a couple days and had a breakdown, so they took me off that and put me on Cymbalta. I just hate being the lab rat.
