when I am in his office and he asks how I have been doing. I can't remember anything to tell him. I've tried journaling but I just can't stick with it (ADD too) or I forget to take it with me.

But part of my biggest problem is every single day is so different that I am not really sure what to tell him. When things change so much, how do you know what to tell them?

My PDOC goes down a checklist and it makes me forget anything i might have thought to tell him. I guess he is getting the basics of what he is looking for though. you might just say, Things are constantly changing and I can't think of how to organize what to tell you. It will give him a better picture of the instability you are dealing with. hope that helps some.

Well I basically told him that some days I felt "okay" and some days really depressed and that it could change day to day and it was anyone's guess. So he upped my Abilify (I can't afford that stuff) and said it would help with the rapid cycling. So I guess I expressed okay what I was feeling.

you did great. he understood you and changed your meds to help. i know a lot of the psych meds are so expensive when there is no generic yet. i wish i could take lithium because it is so cheap.

massage-I get the same way. Stevie gave some good advice which I will take with me to my PDOC next week. I guess nature of the beast...do you feel as if you are more forgetful than before diagnosis?

Glad you are getting help. We have got to be our own best advocates - as hard as that is!

Massage, everyone gave wonderful advice..for the journaling, can you carry a small pocket sized note book with you? you could write down your feelings and thoughts at anytime, and then by carrying it around you'll have it with you when you see the doctor...
